Gaco Western, manufacturer of elastomeric coatings and polyurethane spray foam for the construction and waterproofing industries, said it has appointed Eric Peterson as its new chief financial officer.
In a release, the company said that Peterson will be located at Gaco Westerns corporate headquarters in Seattle, Wash.
Peterson will oversee all of Gaco Westerns financial strategies including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, cash management, insurance, legal and internal audit.
“Eric is an accomplished financial leader with more than 30 years experience in accounting, analytics, strategic finance and operations management for both public and private companies,” said Peter Davis, president and CEO of Gaco Western. “He knows the importance of blending financial discipline with the risks an entrepreneurial company takes every day. His varied industry experience and strategic vision are exactly what we need from a CFO as we focus on driving growth.”
Throughout his career, Peterson has held financial leadership roles in small to mid-sized companies with extensive experience in building equity, debt financing, restructuring, mergers and initial public offerings. Hes worked in various industries including technology, telecommunications and manufacturing. Most recently Peterson served as the CFO, vice president of finance and administration for Independent Brewers United, Inc., a brewer of craft beer under the brand names of Pyramid Breweries, Magic Hat Brewing Company and Mactarnahans. Peterson previously served in a variety of senior financial executive positions with CypherEdge Technologies, Inc.; Isothermal Systems Research, Inc.; Pyramid Breweries; Etera Corp.; and Sequel Technology Corp.
Peterson succeeds Mark Elliott, who served as the companys chief financial officer since 2004.
